Here is an email below from the facilitator at the Lake Monticello meeting, near Charlottesville on Jan 9, 2009
Of the 21 attending, three were county board of supervisors, a chief of police and a member of the school board. It was a very high powered group.
The purpose of the meeting was to present the vision of Marketplace transformation and how to help communities become an agent of influence and change . At the end of the presentation, I gave the group two options, either continue as before with no change, or become an agent of change. 100% of the people said they want to start a transformation process and they will be working on setting up a core leadership team and working towards a much larger meeting in the future. The white paper (attached) that I presented was well received. This the 12 th city in four months that we have had the privilege of working with.
God’s presence was awesome and many of the group where visibly shaken and overwhelmed . That Thursday night before, I slept over and became quite ill with a fever and by the time I woke up , I had virtually lost my voice and yet when I gave the presentation an hour later on Friday morning, I spoke without any difficulty. Praise God.

Subject: Thank you so much! [Letters from Fluvanna county]
Jack,
I just want to say that your presentation could not have been better! It was right on target and gave these leaders a vision and a hunger for prayer that will now take on a life of it’s own. We know that we will have you come back for the next step, but Debbie wants to organize it much more thoroughly and spend more time contacting every single pastor, leader, and business leader in the county. What will help us is the “word of mouth” factor — from those who were there. That will build the hunger for more, and will lead us to have even more enthusiasm from the community for the next meeting.
I hope you are recovering from the respiratory illness. I had one that lasted a month, and it really knocked me off my feet for part of that time. There is definitely something going around.
Please tell Bradley that he is a gem! He was such a blessing to Mike and Becky in their time of need — and his beautiful gift of prophetic prayer touched many. We hope he will continue to come with you as you are invited back for more speaking engagements.
The owner of the Ashlawn Grille was actually awed by what took place in his establishment. He has offered his facility again, if we have more meetings. We are hoping the next meeting will require something larger, but we definitely want to bless him with other gatherings. He is a dear Christian brother.
I am so grateful to our Lord for overcoming every obstacle the enemy tried to deploy to diminish and hinder our meeting. Even the technology finally cooperated, and your voice was strong and clear. That was God-power!
This may have seemed like a very modest beginning, but for us, it is huge! Our county has been so divided, along every possible line — that for half of our Board to be there — and for our Sheriff to stay for the entire meeting — that was a major testimony to the Lord at work in hearts. Thank you so much for the way you allow the Lord to work through you.
Jack, we look forward to what the future holds. Thank you for making that meeting a spiritual market in our county’s history.
We are praying for your health, protection, and provision daily!
May God richly bless you,
Mary
